Kirsten Dunst Opens Up About Iconic Spiderman Scene and New Film ‘Civil War’ on The Jonathan Ross Show

Kirsten Dunst recently shared her candid take on a memorable scene she filmed with Toby Maguire in the iconic Spiderman movie. The 41-year-old actress, known for her role as Mary Jane Watson in the 2002 sci-fi flick, opened up about the less-than-ideal circumstances surrounding the famous upside-down kiss with her 48-year-old co-star.

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Kirsten reminisced about the challenges of shooting the romantic moment. Despite director Sam Raimi’s efforts to create something special, Kirsten revealed that the experience was anything but enjoyable.

Recalling the scene, Kirsten disclosed, “I remember Sam Raimi giving me a book of famous kisses to draw inspiration from, but the reality of filming it was quite miserable.” She humorously added, “The weather was freezing, and poor Tobey couldn’t even catch his breath. It was like I was giving him CPR instead of a kiss!”

On a lighter note, Kirsten also delved into her latest project, Civil War, directed by Alex Garland. The film follows a group of journalists navigating through the chaos of a dystopian America, capturing the clash between government forces and militia groups.

Reflecting on the intense journey portrayed in the movie, Kirsten shared, “Civil War immerses you in the heart of an American conflict. It’s a gripping road trip from New York City into the depths of the country, where we’re on a mission to photograph and interview the president.”
