John Travolta Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Late ‘Grease’ Co-Star Susan Buckner

John Travolta fondly reminisces about his late Grease co-star Susan Buckner with heartfelt honors.The seasoned 70-year-old actor turned to his official Instagram platform on Wednesday to honor her memory.”Susan, your presence made Grease all the more unforgettable! You’ll be deeply missed,” Travolta captioned the compiled photo collage of Buckner.

Travolta’s tribute to the Urban Cowday luminary came shortly after PEOPLE Magazine announced that the actress had “peacefully passed away on May 2, surrounded by loved ones,” as disclosed by a representative for Buckner’s family to the publication.

“She was pure magic. She was my closest confidant. Her absence will be felt every day,” the spokesperson conveyed in a statement shared with CNN on Tuesday. “I was fortunate to have such a radiant force as a mother, and now I have her as a guiding angel.”

Throughout her illustrious career, Buckner graced both the silver screen and television with her talent. She is particularly renowned for her portrayal of Rydell High School cheerleader Patty Simcox in the iconic 1978 musical film Grease.

Prior to her memorable role in Grease, she captured hearts as Miss Washington in 1971 after participating in a beauty pageant.

Additionally, during the 1970s, Buckner showcased her acting prowess in acclaimed shows such as The Dean Martin Show, Police Woman, and Switch. Her musical abilities shone brightly on The Brady Bunch Variety Hour in 1976.
