Meghan Markle is reportedly considering a significant change with her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, after the initial product launches didn’t achieve the expected success.
According to a recent report, the Duchess of Sussex may be venturing into the wine industry, a move that could potentially upset some big names in Hollywood.
“There’s a lot of pressure on Meghan to find something profitable,” an insider told Life & Style, referencing her and Prince Harry’s canceled deals with Spotify and Netflix, and a drop in contributions to their Archewell Foundation.“She’s been exploring various options, but some people see it as a sign of desperation,” the source added. “Her product line seems unfocused.”
After her attempt at selling strawberry jam fell flat, Meghan, a mother of two, is now planning to launch a wine collection under her lifestyle brand. This new venture will place her in direct competition with Hollywood heavyweights like Cameron Diaz, Post Malone, Brad Pitt, and Snoop Dogg.
The insider mentioned that Meghan is aware of the wine market’s profitability, saying, “It looks like a straightforward cash grab.”
Meghan’s entry into the wine business has raised some eyebrows, with concerns that she might be “stepping on some toes.”
Noting her friendship with Diaz, the insider said, “It’s quite bold of her to encroach on Diaz’s territory. Meghan doesn’t seem to mind competing with a friend.”
“She and Harry aren’t consistently earning the kind of money they need to sustain their luxurious lifestyle. Their future hinges on her success. Meghan absolutely feels the pressure—it’s sink or swim time.”
