Pakistan is gearing up to embrace the joyous occasion of Eid ul Fitr tomorrow (Wednesday) after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed the sighting of the Shawwal moon across the country.Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, leading the esteemed moon sighting body, announced this auspicious news following a significant meeting held in Islamabad earlier today.
Addressing reporters at a press conference, Maulana Azad emphasized that the decision was reached after thorough consideration of testimonies from various regions of Pakistan.Meanwhile, neighboring India and Bangladesh are poised to mark Eid ul Fitr on Thursday (April 11) as the elusive Shawwal moon remains unseen in both nations. The Imams of Delhi’s Jama Masjid and Fatehpuri mosque conveyed this decision on Tuesday, as reported by Indian media outlets.
Similarly, Bangladesh’s National Moon Sighting Committee has also confirmed that Eid will be observed on Thursday in their country.However, in countries like Saudi Arabia, Australia, the United Kingdom (UK), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Eid ul Fitr will be joyously celebrated tomorrow, as the Shawwal moon sighting was successful. This marks the conclusion of Ramadan after a full 30 days, with Tuesday marking the final day of the sacred month in these regions.”
