In line with his vision to enhance the tourist experience across the country, PM Modi will dedicate world-class infrastructure and amenities at various pilgrimage and tourism sites, including the Hazratbal Shrine and other important religious sites nationwide.

Moreover, the Prime Minister will launch numerous projects aimed at developing pilgrimage and tourist sites across the country, fostering economic growth and promoting India as a global tourist destination.

The Challenge Based Destination Development Scheme, announced during the Union Budget 2023-24, will see the announcement of 42 tourist destinations selected across various categories, promoting sustainability and competitiveness in the tourism sector.

In addition, the ‘Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice 2024’ initiative seeks to engage citizens in identifying preferred tourist attractions across different categories, while the ‘Chalo India Global Diaspora Campaign’ aims to harness the power of the Indian diaspora in promoting tourism to India, with the potential to significantly boost Indian tourism on a global scale.”
