Prince Harry and Meghan’s Royal Snub: Ignoring King Charles Yet Again

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have once again chosen to bypass King Charles and the royal family upon their return to Los Angeles after a visit to Nigeria.

As per the Mirror’s report, Meghan and Harry have touched down in America following a brief 72-hour stint in Nigeria. The Mirror further asserts that the devoted parents to Archie and Lilibet have now arrived in Los Angeles, making a quick stopover in London along the way.

Despite their brief visit to the UK, Meghan and Harry opted not to engage with any members of the Royal Family, marking another instance of disregard for King Charles.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple was sighted arriving in Los Angeles after an exhausting 18-hour flight from Nigeria. Departing from Abuja on Tuesday, they were seen being swiftly whisked away by car upon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport’s ‘Private Suites’ facility.

Upon their return to the US, the royal pair will be reunited with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at their Montecito mansion. Prince Harry’s continued estrangement, despite being just a stone’s throw away from his father in the UK, has sparked numerous discussions, with experts even questioning whether it’s related to his father’s illness.

Royal commentator and expert Richard Kay delved into this matter in his piece for The Daily Mail, discussing the ‘very telling reason’ behind the rift between Prince Harry and the rest of the royals.

“It’s convenient to attribute everything to a busy schedule,” Mr. Kay remarked, referring to the King’s garden party coinciding with Prince Harry’s thanksgiving service for the Invictus Games. Despite acknowledging Harry’s recognition of his father’s commitments, the nuance in the situation was unmistakable: the failure to meet was not Harry’s doing. Thus, any hopes of extending olive branches were dashed.

“What, then, is the underlying issue, and what does it reveal about the state of relations between the estranged Harry, his father, and the rest of the Royal Family?” Mr. Kay pondered.

One conclusion suggests that, far from fostering reconciliation in light of the King’s cancer diagnosis, the illness has only exacerbated their estrangement.

Reflecting on the events, the same expert noted, “Despite being just over three miles away from Buckingham Palace, Harry might as well have been on a different continent when it came to meeting his family.”
