Bangladeshi wicketkeeper Nur-ul-Hassan, during his visit to Kashmir, delivered a message of encouragement to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking exclusively to Kashmir News Service (KNS) at the renowned tourist destination of Pahalgam, Hassan emphasized the importance of hard work and honesty for those aspiring to achieve international recognition.
“If youth of Jammu and Kashmir are aspiring to make their name at the international level, then there is no alternative other than to work hard and maintain honesty,” Hassan expressed, highlighting the essential values needed for success.
Expressing his admiration for the beauty of Kashmir and the hospitality of its people, Hassan shared his enjoyment of the trip, stating, “Kashmir is really a nice place to visit. People here are also humble. I am enjoying this trip with full zeal and zest.”
Sending his best wishes to everyone in Kashmir, Hassan sought prayers from his people, demonstrating his fondness for the region and its inhabitants.
Reflecting on his cricketing career, Hassan expressed his admiration for Indian former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. “Though everyone is playing good and impressive, but I always liked MS Dhoni for his exclusive skills and leadership which inspired me a lot,” Hassan remarked, acknowledging Dhoni’s influence on his own journey in cricket.
Encouraging more visitors to explore the beauty of Kashmir, Hassan praised the friendly behavior of Kashmiri people, further enhancing his positive experience of the region.
Nur-ul-Hassan’s cricketing career has seen significant milestones, including being only the fifth wicketkeeper to make an ODI debut since 2006. He spent three years at the Under-19 level, participating in two World Cups in 2010 and 2012. Breaking through in the 2013-14 season, Hassan showcased his talent, making 489 runs in the National Cricket League with an impressive average of 81.50, including two centuries. (KNS)
