Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq Leads Preparations for Ramadan at Jama Masjid

Chairman Anjuman-e-Auqaf Jama Masjid, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, took the lead in an essential congregation held at Jama Masjid to assess the preparations both within and around the grand Masjid in anticipation of Ramadan.

As per a statement issued to KNS, the meeting saw the presence of all members of the managing body of Jama Masjid. Mirwaiz emphasized the significance of the fasting month, viewing it as a prime opportunity for believers to seek forgiveness and draw nearer to Almighty Allah, invoking His blessings.

During the meeting, the Auqaf members provided updates to the chairman regarding the provisions arranged for the worshippers who flock to the grand Masjid during Ramadan. Mirwaiz, in turn, directed the members and staff to ensure the availability of water for ablution and other necessities, as well as to maintain cleanliness both within and around the mosque, particularly during Taraweh prayers, to minimize any inconvenience to the devotees.

Additionally, the meeting resolved to notify the administration to guarantee uninterrupted power and water supply and to address the recurring traffic congestion issues in the vicinity, taking into account the onset of Ramadan. The focus remains on upholding cleanliness standards in and around Jama Masjid.

Members of Auqaf pledged to Mirwaiz their commitment to safeguarding the sanctity of the grand Masjid, ensuring the implementation of the best possible facilities for the multitude of devotees who converge to offer prayers during this sacred month.
