Midland University’s Black History Month Events: Celebrating Culture, Talent, and Education Insights

Midland University and the Black Student Union are proud to present a series of events in celebration of Black History Month.Join us on Tuesday, February 6th, for a special lunch in the cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., featuring a menu that showcases the rich culinary heritage of the Black community with traditional dishes.

On Friday, February 16th, don’t miss Focus Friday at noon in Anderson 304, an extra credit opportunity where a panel of educators and students will offer valuable insights into the concept of self-privilege.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 21st, when MU’s Got Talent competition takes center stage at 6:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium. Open to students, faculty, and staff, this event promises exciting performances and prizes for the top three finishers.

As Black History Month draws to a close on Tuesday, February 27th, join us for treats and refreshments provided by BSU for all students.Throughout the month, be sure to check out the display on the windows of the Luther Library, featuring a timeline highlighting the contributions of numerous African-American influencers, athletes, and celebrities.
