Lady Gaga has officially shut down pregnancy rumors that erupted over the weekend during her sister’s wedding festivities.The 38-year-old pop star addressed the speculation on TikTok with a gym video, featuring large white text stating, “Not pregnant— just down bad cryin’ at the gym.”
In the video, Gaga sported winged eyeliner and bleached eyebrows, complemented by a basic black t-shirt and glossy lips. She lip-synced to a 10-second audio clip that said, “I don’t have to find an aesthetic; I am the aesthetic. I mean, I’m sure there’s somebody out here right now who is going into Pinterest trying to type up all these adjectives to describe me.”
Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, had been spotted with a seemingly growing belly in a loose short-sleeve dress at her sister Natali Germanotta’s rehearsal dinner on Friday night. She also appeared to cover her belly, fueling speculation that she might be expecting a child with boyfriend Michael Polansky, following engagement rumors after being seen with a chunky diamond ring in April in West Hollywood, Calif.
Gaga also took to Twitter to reiterate her message, winking at the camera to emphasize her point.
On the professional front, Gaga is deeply immersed in creating new music. At the Los Angeles premiere of her HBO concert special, Gaga Chromatica Ball, in May, she revealed, “I am in the studio every single day. I have written so many songs, I’ve been producing so many songs, and it’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before.” She added, “I love to break genre, and I love to explore music,” during a Q&A session.
