Kate Middleton is celebrated as an exemplary figure for upholding Royal Family traditions, in contrast to Meghan Markle.Since marrying Prince William in 2011, the Princess of Wales has embraced her role within the family, unlike Meghan, who faced challenges such as performing a curtsy to Queen Elizabeth II.
In the Netflix docuseries “Harry and Meghan,” the Duchess of Sussex discussed her experience learning about Royal Family protocols.
She recalled: “I remember we were in the car, driving, and Harry asked, ‘You know how to curtsy, right?’ I thought he was joking.” Meghan continued: “Then I started to understand it was a serious matter. For Americans, it’s like the Medieval Times dinner and tournament. I curtsied like… ‘Pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty’.”
Following Meghan’s video, where she seemed to make light of the Royal Family customs, social media users were quick to praise Kate for her poise and elegance.
One TikTok user commented: “Kate has gracefully adapted to her role, she’s the epitome of class.” Another added: “A true lady. Wishing her a speedy recovery.”
Prince William and Kate, who have been married since 2011, are parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Following Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in September 2023, the couple was honored with the titles of Prince and Princess .
