Kate Middleton recently penned a heartfelt note to the entire Regiment ahead of the Colonel’s Review and Trooping the Colour.
The letter, which has been shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), expresses her regret for not being able to fulfill her duties as the honorary colonel.
For those unfamiliar, the Trooping the Colour event celebrates the official birthday of the British monarch and is scheduled for June 15th.In her letter, she wrote, “I wanted to let you know how proud I am of the entire Regiment as we approach the Colonel’s Review and Trooping the Colour.”
“I appreciate everyone participating this year has been practicing for months, dedicating many hours to ensure their uniforms and drill are immaculate,” added the Princess of Wales.
She also expressed her deep regret, saying, “Being your Colonel remains a great honor, and I am very sorry that I’m unable to take the salute at this year’s Colonel’s Review. Please pass my apologies to the whole Regiment, and I hope to represent you all again very soon.”
“Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved,” she concluded before signing off.
