YouTuber Aun Ali Khosa Returns Home, Was Abducted by Pakistan Security Agencies

YouTuber and digital content creator Aun Ali Khosa has returned home safely after being reportedly abducted last week, according to his lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq. On Monday, Ashfaq confirmed via the social media platform X that Khosa’s family has verified his safe return and that Khosa has had an extensive conversation with his legal team.

Khosa’s return follows a directive from Lahore High Court’s Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, who had set a deadline of August 20 for Capital City Police Officer Bilal Saddique Kamyana to locate the missing YouTuber. This order was issued after Khosa’s wife, Binish Iqbal, filed a petition seeking her husband’s safe recovery, with legal representation from Khadija Siddiqui and Ashfaq.

The incident had also drawn concern from the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), which had called for Khosa’s “immediate recovery.” The HRCP expressed alarm over the abduction, noting Khosa’s work as a satirical commentator on rising living costs and its potential link to the incident. The watchdog emphasized the need for his swift return in its statement.
