During their trip, Meghan participated in a thought-provoking panel discussion titled “Afro-Descendant Women and Power: Voice of Equity,” alongside Vice President Francia Márquez. The event, held in the vibrant city of Cali, focused on the achievements and challenges faced by Afro-Colombian women leaders and entrepreneurs.
According to the Daily Express, Meghan shared her reflections on life, describing this period as her “chapter of joy.” Her comments come shortly after Prince Harry also spoke out regarding the rumors, and Meghan subtly dismissed speculation about any discord between them by referring to him as “my husband.”
In a heartfelt moment, Meghan, who is also a devoted mother to Archie and Lilibet, captivated the audience by speaking in Spanish. She expressed her and Prince Harry’s deep appreciation for the warm reception they received in Colombia, saying, “Because we are in your country, my husband and I can feel this embrace from Colombia – it’s incredible. The culture, the history – all of it – was a dream. This trip was a dream.”
