Uri, Jan 26 : Several working journalists of north Kashmir’s Uri on Friday constituted a body under the name of Uri Working Journalist Association (UWJA). The newly formed media body will look into affairs of working journalists and take steps for the betterment and welfare.
The 16-member body gave unanimous mandate to two journalists which include Nadeem Khwaja Uri and Zaffer Iqbal to look and supervise the affairs of the Association.
The body will act a bridge between government and people, and try to resolves people’s issues and bring them into the notice of higher authorities.
Notably UWJA is the first ever media body formed in the area.
