Katy Perry is giving her home a bit of a spruce up, but only the prized possessions, after two of her albums achieved diamond status.The chart-topping pop sensation can be seen polishing all her existing diamond trophies in a new video she posted on Instagram on Monday.
“Just did some housecleaning this weekend hbu [a string of five diamond emojis],” Perry captioned the clip, which displays five of her six diamond accolades from the Recording Industry Association of America. The video follows the official diamond certification of her hit singles Teenage Dream and E.T. on 1st July, according to the RIAA’s website.
The RIAA has also awarded Perry’s album Teenage Dream diamond status, solidifying its position as Perry’s most successful album in the United States.
As of 1st July, Perry has earned the Diamond trophy for the singles California Gurls, Roar, Firework, Dark Horse, Teenage Dream, and E.T., with each of the six singles surpassing 10 million units in sales, according to the RIAA.
This announcement arrives as excitement grows for her upcoming single Woman’s World, set to be released on Thursday, 11th July, with its music video debuting the following day.
This year also marks her final season as an American Idol judge after a five-year stint.
