Israeli Officials Condemn UN’s Decision to Blacklist Military for Alleged Crimes Against Children

Israeli government officials have reacted angrily to the United Nations’ decision to blacklist its military for alleged crimes against children, as reported by Al Jazeera.The UN has announced that Israeli forces have been included in a global list of groups accused of violations against children.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz criticized the decision on X, calling it a “shameful act of villainy.” He accused UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres of anti-Semitism and claimed that history would remember Guterres as an anti-Semitic leader. Katz reiterated Israel’s stance that its military operates with the highest moral standards.

According to the report, Israeli Minister Benny Gantz insisted that Israel will persist in its “just war” and accused the UN of unfairly equating Israel with ISIL (ISIS). He maintained that Israel’s actions comply with international law.

Israel’s Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for a strong response to what he described as a dangerous decision, suggesting that sanctions against UN officials might be necessary.
