Model Eugenio Casnighi Excluded from Met Gala After Viral Incident: Speaks Out on TikTok

Italian model Eugenio Casnighi will not be assisting any models at this year’s Met Gala, following a viral incident from last year. Casnighi, who assisted Kylie Jenner during the previous year’s event, took to his TikTok account to share his experience.

In the video, Casnighi revealed that he was terminated from his position after appearing in the background of a Vogue livestream while BLACKPINK’s Jennie was being interviewed. Despite being under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), Casnighi felt he could speak freely after being dismissed.

According to Casnighi, he was accused of making the event about himself, leading to his termination. He explained that he was instructed to assist Kylie Jenner with any needs she had during the event.

In his TikTok post, Casnighi expressed his frustration, stating that although the Met Gala and the unnamed company behind it aimed to garner attention for models and their accompanying celebrities, he was blamed when he inadvertently appeared in photos next to Jenner.

Casnighi’s revelation sheds light on the complexities of working behind the scenes at high-profile events like the Met Gala, where even minor incidents can have significant repercussions for those involved.
