“King of Patna” Part-Time Influencer, Gunman Tauseef Badshah Arrested After Chilling Hospital Murder

In a chilling display of criminal audacity, 26-year-old Tauseef Badshah of Patna, known on social media as the self-styled “King of Patna,” has been identified and arrested as the primary accused in the cold-blooded murder of gangster Chandan Mishra inside Paras Hospital, one of Patna’s most prominent private healthcare facilities.

The incident, captured in disturbing detail by CCTV cameras, shocked the city and exposed the dark underbelly of Bihar’s criminal ecosystem—where gang rivalries now spill into hospitals, and social media is used as a platform for self-glorification by criminals.

The Hospital Execution: Caught on Camera

On the afternoon of July 17, five men entered the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Paras Hospital in Patna. The footage shows Tauseef leading the group with calm confidence. His shirt was untucked, collar loose, gun visibly in hand—his movements unhurried and deliberate.

Seconds later, Chandan Mishra, a notorious gangster serving time for multiple murders and on medical parole, was lying dead on the hospital bed. The other four men bolted out after firing the shots, but Tauseef walked out with the same swagger with which he entered—unfazed and silent.

The daring nature of the attack—carried out in a high-security medical facility in broad daylight—left authorities scrambling and raised serious questions about the state of law and order.

Criminal Rivalry Behind the Killing

According to the Patna Police, the motive behind the murder was a long-standing gang feud. Tauseef is linked to the Sheru Gang, a well-known criminal outfit in Bihar. Chandan Mishra, the victim, was once a part of the same gang but had fallen out with its leadership, particularly with Sheru, while the two were imprisoned in Bhagalpur Jail.

After the fallout, Chandan allegedly started operating independently but continued to use the Sheru gang’s name to exert influence. Police believe this move was seen as a direct challenge by Sheru’s faction, prompting a retaliatory strike.

Tauseef’s Arrest and Police Operation

Within 24 hours of the attack, six suspects were arrested from Patna and Buxar districts, including Tauseef Badshah. The police conducted search operations at multiple safe houses and properties associated with the Sheru gang.

Senior officers confirmed that several weapons and digital devices had been recovered during raids. Further investigations are ongoing, including the tracing of financial transactions and mobile communication that led to the planning of the hospital attack.

The Digital Trail: A Gangster’s Online Image

Perhaps most disturbing was the revelation of Tauseef’s active presence on social media. His Instagram account is filled with reels showing him driving around Patna, set to dramatic music and often captioned with lines like “King of Patna.”

One particularly infamous video shows Tauseef cruising through city streets, a baby on his lap while driving—a clip that’s now under investigation. His Facebook bio reads:

“Jis jungle me tum sher bane ghoomte ho, us jungle ke bekhauf shikari hai hum”
(“In the jungle where you roam as lions, I am the fearless hunter.”)

Tauseef also maintained a YouTube channel with over 120 videos, mostly short clips in gangster style: voiceovers in Hindi, weapon gestures, thumping music, and scenes mimicking underworld cinema. Police say such platforms may have served dual purposes—intimidation and recruitment.

Police Crackdown and Growing Concerns

The arrest of Tauseef has exposed how digital platforms are increasingly becoming tools for criminals to glorify violence and build personal brands. Authorities have expressed concern that such portrayals may influence impressionable youth and further embolden organised gangs.

A senior Patna police official commented:

“These men are not just committing crimes—they are glamorising them. Our next step is to coordinate with cybercrime units to monitor such online activities and ensure platforms do not become safe havens for criminals.”

The hospital murder has also sparked discussions on the need for tighter hospital security protocols, especially for high-risk undertrial or parole prisoners.

A Reminder of Bihar’s Gang Problem

The murder of Chandan Mishra, a man named in over two dozen cases, and the dramatic arrest of Tauseef Badshah, underline the persistence of criminal gangs in Bihar. Despite repeated crackdowns, gang culture remains deeply rooted in parts of the state—often intersecting with politics, local business interests, and youth disenchantment.

As the legal proceedings begin against Tauseef and his associates, the case stands as a grim reminder of the growing nexus between crime, social media, and public apathy—and the urgent need for a coordinated crackdown across digital, legal, and ground-based levels.
