Kate Hudson expresses having “no regrets” about marrying her first love, musician Chris Robinson.In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the 45-year-old actress shared that marrying Chris was “not a mistake.”
“The people in my life allow others to make mistakes. And, by the way, marrying Chris – not a mistake,” she stated.The Almost Famous star reflected, “When I look back at my entire life at this point, I actually feel like I might have gotten it right, you know?”
“There’s this societal expectation that we’re supposed to do things a certain way, which I understand because I truly believe in the concept of family, and I think that’s something missing today,” Kate elaborated.
“But I also believe that a family unit can exist in a way that’s different from the traditional, often religious, concept of marriage and male-female relationships,” she added.For those unaware, Kate and Chris were married from 2000 to 2007 and share a son named Ryder.
