The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has confirmed the selection of over 250 candidates for the Lok Sabha polls, while the Congress has revealed 82 candidates thus far. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, vying for a third term, will stand for election from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. Conversely, the Congress has designated Rahul Gandhi as its candidate for the electoral fray in Wayanad, Kerala. The question remains whether Gandhi will contest from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, there’s speculation surrounding the potential candidacy of his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, from Raebareli.
