In a video posted on its Telegram channel on Sunday, Hamas’ armed wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, reported that three hostages, including a U.S. citizen, were killed during an Israeli military operation on Saturday that resulted in the release of some hostages.
The group did not disclose the identities of the deceased, but the video showed three bodies with their faces censored.
The video also included a message stating, “Your captives will not be released unless our prisoners are freed.”
