Dubai Challenge Cup Final: Al-Ahly Saudi Arabia to Face Zamalek in Epic Showdown

Al-Ahly Saudi Arabia has secured a spot in the Dubai Challenge Cup final against Zamalek after a notable victory (3-1) over Wuhan Three Towns of China in the semi-finals at Al Maktoum Stadium. The eagerly anticipated final is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, January 28, at six in the evening.

Zamalek, having triumphed over Morocco’s Raja Casablanca in the semi-finals through a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw, is set to face Al-Ahly Jeddah in what promises to be an intense showdown for the Dubai Challenge Cup title.

In response to the rigorous semi-final match against Raja Casablanca, Zamalek’s first football team, under the guidance of coach Motamed Gamal, has opted to modify their training program. Today, the team will focus on recovery training at their residence hotel in Dubai, abstaining from on-field training at Al Maktoum Stadium sub-field. This decision stems from the players’ apparent state of stress after yesterday’s challenging match.

The Zamalek camp in the Emirates concludes tomorrow, with the team’s delegation returning to Cairo to prepare for upcoming fixtures in the Egyptian Premier League and the African Confederation Championship.
