The details surrounding the collapse of their marriage paint a rather disheartening picture for J.Lo, who, according to sources, “was done waiting.”
Explaining her attempts to win back the Argo star, insiders said, “She tried very hard to make things work and is heartbroken,” adding, “The children have always been a top priority for her.”
Jennifer’s decision to end the marriage on the couple’s second anniversary seemed to mark an admission of defeat.
“She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t shown any desire to continue their marriage,” a source revealed to People.
Her divorce filing in L.A. County Superior Court followed her appearance at Ben’s birthday celebration.
“It’s exactly what he wanted. He didn’t want to go out to celebrate. The children had gifts for him, which was sweet. Jennifer [Lopez] stopped by to congratulate him,” the insider disclosed.
